Overseeing security / privacy program to manage risk for assets that support the Customer Experience (CX) organization\'s business: asset registration, Qualys scanning, vulnerability remediation, secure software development (for CX offers, enterprise apps and 3rd party clouds) and lab security. Led the highly visible 15+ cross-functional tiger team to ensure security readiness for the strategically critical CX Cloud offer in time for General Availability (GA) with daily status updates to EVP level. Key Outcome: Achieved security readiness for CX Cloud in time for GA by validating evidence for 480 of the most critical security / privacy requirements and obtaining executive approval of the CX Cloud Security Readiness Plan.Led the DPP policy compliance effort with Security & Trust Organization to ensure compliance with Cisco DPP policies and standards within the CX organization. Key outcomes: Provided sufficient CX compliance evidence in key DPP policy areas: incident management, third party cloud providers and data retention including the development of the Cisco Data Archive & Deletion platform.Led the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) readiness initiative for the person CX organization to be ready by the May 25th GDPR effective date. Key outcomes: Pioneered a privacy readiness approach which is now adopted by the Cisco Privacy Office, documented GDPR readiness evidence to share with regulators and customers and remediated all identified high-risk privacy gaps in time for the deadline. The CX DPP team received the Pinnacle Award for this significant accomplishment.Led (and formed) 20+ person Cisco data taxonomy forum to align on data category definitions and applicable security / privacy controls: Advised ‘Data Advisor’ product management team based on data taxonomy insights, and Data Advisor became Cisco-wide platform to enable employees to protect data throughout its lifecycle. We received the Pinnacle Award for this innovative capability.
