ABOUT JENNA VIRK

Jenna Virk is the Director, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary of Lithium Americas Corp. She is responsible for overseeing legal matters for the company, including disclosure and regulatory compliance, corporate governance and corporate/commercial work. Prior to joining Lithium Americas, Jenna was Senior Legal Counsel with the Capital Markets Regulation division of the British Columbia Securities Commission where she was involved with developing national securities rules and policies, participated on the CSA Regulatory Sandbox and reviewed and negotiated contracts on the Commission’s behalf. She has held in-house legal counsel positions with Qtrade Financial Inc.(prior to its merger with Credential Financial Inc. and NEI Investments) and Columbus Gold Corp. where she acted as VP, Legal and Corporate Secretary for several public companies and was involved in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, royalties, financings, commercial transactions, litigation management, corporate governance and regulatory compliance work. Jenna has been practicing law since her call to the British Columbia bar in 2007. She previously worked in private practice for several prominent Vancouver law firms and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in accounting and finance from Simon Fraser University.
