I advise clients in relation to Intellectual Property and information technology matters. My experience includes:INFORMATION TECHNOLOGYAdvising clients in relation to the development, maintenance and exploitation of software, including the drafting and negotiation of contracts for software development and maintenance, software provision (including SaaS licences and subscriptions), end user licences, and provision of outsourced IT services. I also advise on the enforcement of IP rights in software, including taking action against the unauthorised installation, use and distribution of software products. IP CONTRACTSDrafting and negotiating licences, assignments and other commercial agreements for the licensing, sale or exploitation of Intellectual Property rights both in the UK and internationally. I also advise clients on confidentiality and related matters concerning the development and exploitation of Intellectual Property.IP PROTECTIONAdvising clients on the suitability and registrability of brand names, and prosecuting applications to register trade marks and designs in the UK and internationally. This includes acting in relation to any oppositions filed in response to clients\' applications. Following registration, I continue to support clients with brand protection issues, and regularly advise on the opposition of third party trade mark applications.INFRINGEMENT & DISPUTESAdvising clients in relation to copyright, trade mark, design and patent infringement, passing off claims, domain name disputes, and comparative advertising issues.Locations: based primarily in EMW\'s Milton Keynes and Northampton offices, but flexibility to meet clients/contacts in any of the firm\'s offices.Practice Areas: Intellectual Property, Information TechnologySectors: Media and Creative, Food and Drink, Fashion, Software and IT
