ABOUT JENNA OTTO

Healthcare software needs to be the best it can be - and I\'m helping it get there! I am currently working in quality assurance at Epic. As a software tester I am always discovering and reporting on bugs and issues before anyone else has to worry about it. Previously, I worked as an intern teaching assistant (TA) at United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai, China. As a statistics TA, I was constantly studying calculus and statistics in order to help my students to the best of my ability. Regularly working with 200+ students a semester honed my organizational and presenting skills, too. Along with my mathematical and education skills, I also met lifelong friends, increased my Mandarin proficiency, and learned how to play the guqin, a Chinese instrument. I am a 2016 graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and minors in Mandarin Chinese and music. I have a passion for all of these fields and stay active in them in as much as I can, via Chinese proficiency tests, other coursework, and ensemble joining. Other experiences I\'ve had include 5+ years of experience in customer service and food service at various organizations (Econofoods, Pilot Flying J, Spicy Pie, Eventide Retirement Community), including experience in front end management. These places fostered many of my current skills, such as effective communication, organization, and problem solving.
