About Jennah Denney

As Senior Technology Integration & Electrification Manager at NRECA, I lead research, strategy, and implementation efforts focused on electric transportation, distributed energy resources (DER), and emerging large electric loads for electric cooperatives nationwide. My work centers on helping cooperatives plan for, integrate, and manage new technologies—such as EV charging, fleet electrification, DERMS, and flexible load strategies—while maintaining system reliability, affordability, and member value.With over nine years of experience spanning program management, stakeholder engagement, and applied research, and more than six years specializing in EV infrastructure and grid integration, I translate complex technical and policy challenges into practical tools, guidance, and peer-driven solutions for cooperatives. I currently serve as Principal Investigator for the DOE-funded REWIRED project, which focuses on reducing soft costs and improving utility workflows for EVSE interconnection and energization in rural communities.I bring a systems-level perspective that bridges engineering, operations, planning, and member programs. I serve as NRECA’s liaison to the DER Member Advisory Group (DER MAG), supporting peer learning, research prioritization, and cooperative-led solution development. I am a published author and a ChargePoint Certified Installer. My work is driven by a commitment to helping electric cooperatives proactively adapt to electrification and grid modernization in ways that are scalable, equitable, and grounded in real-world utility operations.
