The Virginia Passenger Rail Authority is an implementing agency authorized by the Commonwealth of Virginia to promote and expand the availability of passenger and commuter rail service in Virginia. I directed the public outreach and promotion of three multi-million dollar capital projects: expanding Amtrak service from Roanoke to the New River Valley (NRV), creating new routes to connect Richmond, VA and Raleigh, NC (Richmond to Raleigh, or R2R), and expanding capacity on freight routes with additional siding tracks (Sidings).
