ABOUT JENNA BISSCHOP

Tansi! I’m Jenna — a human-centered strategist, Indigenous leader, and mentor passionate about strengthening youth, communities, and organizations through culturally grounded programs and partnerships. As a proud member of Saulteau First Nations and a mother of three, I’ve experienced firsthand the realities of intergenerational trauma, disability advocacy, and systems that were not built for our people. These lived experiences drive my commitment to reshaping systems and creating pathways that honour culture, support families, and empower future generations. I currently serve as Senior Manager, Indigenous Communities at JA British Columbia (JABC), where I help lead the Company Program for Indigenous Learners (CPI). In this role, I collaborate with educators, volunteers, community leaders, and cultural partners to deliver financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship programming that reflects Indigenous knowledge and values — creating opportunities that empower youth and strengthen communities across BC. Alongside my work at JABC, I serve as a member of the Indigenous Leaders in Technology (ILIT) Strategy Working Group with the First Nations Technology Council, helping shape digital skills training, technology career pathways, and Indigenous leadership in emerging technologies, including AI. I’ve also helped organizations build or improve their programming, streamline operations, and support leadership while mentoring youth — blending professional expertise with lived experience. Earlier, I co-founded a sustainability-focused business that provides EV commercial trucks and technology infrastructure solutions, helping local municipalities, businesses, and rural communities access clean energy and tools that serve both people and the planet. Passionate about: Indigenous economic development, culturally grounded youth leadership, climate-resilient infrastructure, technology innovation, and programs that create lasting generational impact. 🤝 Let’s connect: I welcome collaborations rooted in integrity, innovation, and impact — especially those that open doors for youth, strengthen communities, and honour Indigenous perspectives.
