About Jenna Slotin

I’m passionate about making data work for people as the foundation of trust, equity, and good governance. Over the last two decades, I’ve worked across the UN, civil society, and global partnerships to strengthen data systems, shift power, and ensure that decisions shaping people’s lives are grounded in evidence and fairness.As Interim CEO of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, I lead a coalition of more than 700 partners which includes governments, multilaterals, civil society, and the private sector. We work together to put data and technology at the center of sustainable development. I’ve helped grow this network since its establishment, building momentum for data as both a public good and an enabler of innovation, investment, and accountability.Before the Global Partnership, I led sustainable development policy at the United Nations Foundation, where I was part of the advocacy effort behind the Sustainable Development Goals. Earlier in my career, I worked in peacebuilding and governance, from post-conflict Kosovo and Liberia to global negotiations in New York, always focused on how inclusive, credible data can bridge divides and build trust.I believe the future of AI, digital governance, and sustainable development will depend on how we govern data, who shapes the rules, and who benefits. That’s the conversation I want to help lead.

   The Global Partnership brings together government, international organizations, private sector, academic and civil society partners leveraging the power of data to change minds, policies, and lives for the better. I’m proud to have been with the Global Partnership since its establishment, shaping the growth of the organization from a network of 50 partners and a secretariat of 4 staff to over 700 partners and more than 20 staff. Now as Interim CEO, I lead on the delivery of our organizational strategy and support our outstanding team as they work with our partners to strengthen the data systems we need for the digital age.
