ABOUT JENNA S. GREEN

Hello! I am the Program Manager - Healing Arts at the TMC Health Foundation and a PhD Candidate in Art & Visual Culture Education at the University of Arizona. My research interests are in trauma-aware art museum education and the care work of museums, contemplative pedagogies, embodied inquiry, and arts in health. Each of these interests center the emotional and social impacts of art on well-being. My work is informed by a feminist philosophical ethic of care, disability studies, and socially responsive museology and is situated within qualitative and arts-based methodologies. As an arts + culture professional I’m committed to expanding programs that promote accessibility, creativity, and well-being. I love engaging communities with art, mindfulness, and movement and have training in a trauma-informed yoga practice that honors the historical roots of yoga. My passion is to make museums and other art spaces welcoming and visitor-centered. My experience is in program development, coordination, facilitation, and evaluation of in-person and virtual programs (public, teen, and youth). My current work at TMC explores how the arts can transform care and how art museum education strategies can be applied to a healthcare setting. For more information, visit my website:
