As Director of Real Estate, I am responsible for our real estate staff at PVS, consisting of consultants, appraisers and administrative support staff in our Kansas City and satelite offices in Virginia and Texas. Our portfolio exceeds more than real property tax parcels stretching across every state in the US and Puerto Rico. While we were built on the special nature and needs of the healthcare industry, we hold the experience and resources to handle the valuation and property tax function of all property types, from retail, office and multi-family, to energy production and manufacturing facilities, hotels, casinos, golf courses, specialized personal property and more. We review every parcel, every year. My current position at PVS includes oversight of all real estate clients with the firm and each employee in the department, to include hiring, employment planning, annual performance reviews, oversight of licensure and continuing education; development and maintenance of training programs and protocols for department employees and administrative support staff; parcel planning; delegation to Senior Consultants, Supervisors and department Managers, appraisers and technical staff in valuation and tax planning projects; handling and review of high-valued and complex property appeals at the local, state and court levels; sales and marketing content development and implementation with our Personal Property department, Sales Account Executives and external marketing firm; maintenance and expansion of our internal database and IT automation; working with our Vice President, Partners and ancillary offices across the country to support and strengthen relationships and services to existing and new clients; coordinating with our sister company SALT Solutions for sales and use tax needs of our clients.
