ABOUT JENNA COHEN
Solving puzzles has always intrigued me. As a kid, I loved brain games and using clues and findings to discover the surprising answer. Academically, I was always drawn to science and math; I loved the combination of systematic and predictable concepts with the ability to follow my curiosity to discover the answer to seemingly unsolvable problems. Just like figuring out a puzzle, I am excited by the journey of solving a problem and ending up with an answer or even another question to explore. So, it comes as no surprise that I quickly became fascinated by and involved in scientific research. I am currently in my Junior year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and am majoring in Genetics and Genomics with a certificate in Chinese Professional Communication. While studying abroad in London for the Spring semester, I am interning as a research assistant for syd (iamYiam). This job has opened my mind about working in the Genetics field outside of a lab and has taught me how I can be creative in this field as well.
