Prior to being impacted by mass layoffs at CareBridge/Elevance Health, I served as a Manager of Therapy Services. In this role, I led a team of 10–12 clinical specialists, supporting members across our partnered Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). Our primary focus was promoting cost-effective, quality-driven care through the implementation of utilization management strategies. I regularly drew on my clinical expertise and background as an Occupational Therapy Assistant to guide both clinical decision-making and program development, ensuring that services aligned with both patient needs and organizational goals.
