ABOUT JENNA A.
I am a master’s student in Applied and Public Sociology at George Mason University with dual undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Philosophy. My academic and professional interests center on medical sociology, behavioral health, and the social determinants of health; specifically, how social systems, institutional structures, and cultural dynamics influence healthcare access and patient outcomes. My background spans editorial management, nonprofit leadership, and applied research, where I’ve honed skills in cross-disciplinary collaboration, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and public communication. I’m passionate about translating sociological theory into practice, using data-driven insight and human-centered understanding to improve how healthcare systems serve diverse communities.I’m currently seeking opportunities within clinical, behavioral-health, and healthcare research settings where I can contribute meaningfully while gaining hands-on experience to inform my long-term goal of building a career at the intersection of sociology, healthcare, and social impact.
