   Executes Health and Safety (H&S) programs and activities in partnership with the Plant Health and Safety staff. Primary responsibility for implementation of H&S standards ensuring compliance with all applicable legal requirements, including all associated policies, procedures and tools required for proper implementation; Work closely with the operations team, including the Director H&S Compliance to ensure H&S compliance programs are followed at all facilities; Establish tools to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, audits, DHS, etc. Communications to sites, to ensure the tracking and implementation of H&S regulatory-required reporting and recordkeeping requirements, including accident reporting, medical monitoring programs; and, assist with obtaining information related to workers compensation cases; Support sites regarding proper industrial hygiene sampling protocol and monitoring requirements to ensure compliance with applicable H&S regulations; Responsible for communicating to operational leaders regarding programs supporting H&S compliance requirements. Partner with Operations leaders to ensure receipt of proper instruction and understanding of legal requirements to implement corporate requirements; Provide processes and training to operational leadership and site personnel to meet all regulatory-required H&S training requirements; Review facility H&S process and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations; Assist facilities in obtaining or maintaining qualification and registration to OHSAS 18001 Safety Management Systems; Maintain effective relationship with plant managers, H&S personnel, and corporate management; Development of divisional H&S-related goals in concert with the Director of Safety Compliance; and Development of H&S-related strategic initiatives in concert with the Director of Safety Compliance to ensure continuous improvement and goal achievement.
