Jennifer Nash, PT, DPTAssociate Professor | Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist | Falls & Balance Expert | Advocate for Excellence in PT EducationI am an Associate Professor in the School of Integrated Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, specializing in neurologic physical therapy, balance, and fall prevention. With over two decades of clinical and academic experience, I combine evidence-based practice with a passion for developing the next generation of physical therapists.As a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist, Credentialed Balance and Falls Professional, and Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults, I lead community-based fall prevention initiatives, direct innovative interprofessional learning experiences, and contribute nationally to advancing PT practice.I serve as Chair of the Balance and Falls Special Interest Group for the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy and am actively involved in research, residency program development, and national advocacy to improve access to neurologic rehabilitation. I am the current past president of the Nevada Physical Therapy Board. I am currently the secretary of the APTA NV and am on the legislative team for the APTA NV.Outside of academia, I’m an Ironman and World Championship half Ironman athlete, a devoted wife and mother, and an advocate for healthy, active living at every age.Specialties: Neurologic rehabilitation, balance and vestibular rehabilitation, fall prevention, PT education and curriculum design, interprofessional collaboration, community health programming, and residency development.
