Cards for Hospitalized Kids (CFHK) is an internationally recognized charitable organization that spreads hope, joy and magic to hospitalized and seriously ill children across the United States through uplifting, handmade cards. I am the founder and executive director as well as president of the board of directors- I worked to build CFHK from a local organization into the national charity it is today. My own experiences as a \"hospitalized kid\" inspired me to found CFHK. While it began as a local endeavor, CFHK quickly expanded and we now distribute cards to Children\'s Hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses across the country in all 50 states. Using CFHK\'s guidelines, individuals + groups donate time and creativity to make handmade cards and send them to CFHK for distribution. Over cards have been distributed since our inception- I continue to oversee CFHK operations and lead the CFHK team including interns and volunteers.
