Deeply passionate about education, I co-founded a math publishing company to address the US math crisis in the time that matters most: the middle grades. Our first game-based software release (Ko\'s Journey) was completed in less than one year, followed by an independent documentary film (The Biggest Story Problem) that won \"Most Socially Engaging Documentary\" at the Eugene International Film Festival. We funded the development of our next game (EMPIRES) and primary component (The Math Simulator) of our Core Curriculum by MidSchoolMath grant awards from the US Department of Education and National Science Foundation. We launched the MidSchoolMath National Conference in 2016. Most recently, Core Curriculum by MidSchoolMath achieved the highest possible ratings in an independent review by EdReports. What has moved me the most from the work we have achieved is when I hear from teachers \"I was planning to retire, but I want to try this program with my students!\" Not once, not twice, but eight times!
