International Experience: Traveled to Continental Japan (Dec 2023 – Feb 2024) for cross-functional collaboration, knowledge exchange, and design alignment on the Hyundai QV EPB project- Team Leadership: Leading a team of 8 engineers responsible for Japanese and Korean OEM brake programs, providing technical direction, mentoring, and ensuring project delivery- Design Ownership: End-to-end responsibility for JOEM & KOEM Electric Parking Brake (EPB-Ci) zero-drag (<0.15 Nm) calipers, covering RFQ to series production for Hyundai (QV, BJ, BJ-CUV), HMG RFQs (SX3b/e/j, NE2e), and global JOEM customers including Mazda, Honda, Subaru, and Nissan- Low-Drag Optimization: Redesigned quad clip geometry with core and TPM teams to achieve near-zero drag while maintaining balanced pad gaps- Brake Engineering & Performance: Conducted C-Brake calculations, performance estimations, SC/CC assessments, and customer spec analysis; proposed technical deviations ensuring compliance with standards and manufacturability- Caliper & NVH Design: Optimized pad layouts, anchor and housing design with CATIA GPS; validated stiffness, stress, natural frequency, and FRF to improve NVH robustness across suppliers and carryover projects- MGU & Tolerance Integration: Collaborated with MGU/Actuator teams for packaging and performance; executed 2D & 3D tolerance stack-ups (CETOL) balancing cost, fit, and performance- Casting & Supplier Development: Conducted MAGMA simulations, feasibility studies, yield optimization, and tool layout development; led supplier development in India and managed global casting supplier alignment- DFM/DFA & NVH Integration: Conducted DFM/DFA workshops with IE teams; defined squeal/moan/rattle countermeasures, collaborating with CAE, testing, and suppliers- Problem-Solving: Resolved critical field issues, including rattle, guide pin failures, and squeal, using structured root cause analysis and Japanese problem-solving methodology.
