As an educator at heart, I am driven by a passion for transforming the educational landscape for young learners and their families. Originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, I have dedicated over a decade of my career to fostering a love for literacy in the nation\'s capital, empowering students to reach their full potential.With a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a Master of Teaching in Early Childhood Education from Howard University, I have developed an expertise as a literacy coach and reading interventionist. My focus on one-on-one and small group phonics instruction has enabled students to unlock their potential, paving the way for their literacy success.Currently, I have transitioned into educational consulting as a professional development specialist and facilitator. In this role, I facilitate asynchronous online courses tailored for language-diverse classrooms and train stakeholders in education nationwide on aligning their instruction with the Science of Reading.With a blend of expertise, dedication, and a genuine love for teaching, I strive to make a lasting impact in the field of education, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.I was recognized as a 2021 DC Milken Educator, dubbed the “Oscars of Teaching.” The award honored her continuous positive impact on the lives of students and her commitment to seek opportunities for parents and educators.
