ABOUT JEN MACIAS DE PARRA

Strategic experience designer and trauma-responsive accessibility practitioner with a proven track record in leading global, multicultural accessibility transformations and activating social change. With a holistic, policy-to-practice approach, I weave accessibility seamlessly into every stage of the design process—from strategy through implementation—ensuring it becomes an integral part of both public and private sector projects. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients ranging from Fortune 10 companies to state government agencies, all with the shared mission of disrupting systemic inequities and fostering inclusive, care-centered work cultures.My background in biology shapes how I approach design: I view complex systems as living entities that thrive with mindful care and attention. This perspective shapes my work as I guide leaders to move beyond limiting frameworks and empower design teams to challenge ableist assumptions.
