About Jen Johnson

I am a brand and marketing professional with deep experience higher ed leadership and change management. I spent more than twenty years in the fields of higher education, health & human services and media. During my career, I have developed a passion for college access and inclusion, and a deep appreciation for the power of brand strategy. I am currently the chief client partnership officer at Ologie where I lead a team of talented account managers. We partner with the leaders of universities and organizations across the country, helping them tackle enrollment challenges, tell their stories and leverage the power of their brands.Prior to Ologie, I spent a decade at Queens University of Charlotte where I was most recently vice president of enrollment management & marketing, leading a team of about 40 full-time professionals and another 30 student workers in the areas of communication, marketing, creative services, digital strategy, undergraduate admissions, financial aid and student accounts.I have been told that I have a knack for simplifying the complex- a value that made me feel right at home at Ologie. I bring that value into my work every day, helping universities identify opportunities and put their challenges into perspective. I also bring my education and experience helping teams and organizations embrace change. I learned best practices in organizational change during my Master of Science program at Queens McColl School of Business where I specialized in executive coaching. I honed those methods while leading major change initiatives throughout my career such as Queens’ brand revitalization, the reorganization of its enrollment structure, and the brand launch and new pricing strategy at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.My passion for inclusion comes from working in college admissions, and also from raising bi-racial children - my two sons, Drew and Chase. I channel that passion through my work every day as well as through various volunteer roles over the years such as WBTV’s diversity and inclusion committee, the board of directors at Lake Norman Charter School, and the School Leadership Team at Myers Park Traditional School. I currently volunteer with my husband Adrian at Mecklenburg Community Church.

At Ologie, I have the pleasure of working with purpose-driven organizations (mostly in higher education) across the country to tell their stories, grow awareness and drive bottom line results. It is a true joy to bring my experiences in college admissions, Slate, digital advertising and higher ed leadership to Ologie, where I work with unbelievable creative and strategic colleagues to produce standout results for our partners.(Really, their creativity blows me away on a regular basis.) In my role, I partner with organizational leaders to identify, articulate and socialize their authentic stories. These opportunities typically start as brand or marketing questions, but often grow into so much more. We see the most exciting results when we have the chance to work with our partners across disciplines and break down silos. An authentic, compelling brand has the power to reach into all aspects of an organization to inspire and unite. I love to witness it!
