ABOUT JEMMA IBBOTSON
A highly motivated, creative, hardworking and enthusiastic engineer who is educated to masters level within Mechanical Engineering. Before Safran I wanted to learn about another industry so I took a role at Pall as a Project Manager in the Biotech sector. Great experience learning about companies, products and standards this industry works too. Previous experience is within the Aerospace sector which has been achieved during 5 years working for Porvair Filtration Limited, Initially joining them in a Graduate Mechanical Engineering role before moving into a Project Engineer role in 2015. This involved lean manufacturing and continuous improvement opportunities. I also had experience as a production manager, quality engineer and worked in the supply chain before becoming the project manager on the smallest to the largest projects within the aerospace division. Has a keen interest in many aspects of engineering and is creative when it comes to problem solving, often coming up with innovative solutions when faced with challenging problems. Experienced in driving projects from cradle to grave. Recently worked on multimillion pound orders and set up whole new cells for certain products with dedicated machining cells feeding in to this.After creating these cells I went onto formally write up the NPI process with gated reviews which involved PPAP elements so it could be used for various projects and satisfied customer needs.
