Career highlights: May 2023 - Feb 2023: Delivery lead throughout sale, transition and delivery of COVID-19 test registration and results matching services. Led team of 70 people, responsible for development and maintenance of 5 mobile applications, 3 portals and 30+ backend services related to COVID-19 test registration, matching and sampling. Technology stack included mobile apps developed in Swift and portals developed in Typescript, Vuejs, backed by an AWS server-less stack, including Lambda, CloudFront, API Gateway, S3, Dynamo DB, Kinesis, SQS, using infrastructure as code (Terraform) on Azure DevOps. Personally automated reporting of data in JIRA, via python pandas, in order to report monthly to executive on team performance (using DORA Metrics), and value for money (costs per feature delivered) Oct 2021 - Dec 2021: Delivery lead and architect for emergency programme launching in only 8 days NHS COVID Test Site Finder Web App, to enable citizens of the UK to find nearest COVID test centres. Built using React, API Gateway, Dynamo DB and Cognito for authentication and role based access control. Apr 2018 - Sept 2021: Lead architect for re-platforming of 3600 points of sale across 600 stores for a major UK Telco onto an AWS based central platform, with high levels of automation in the delivery of endpoint computing. Won Computing Magazine DevOps Project of the Year Award 2019 for highly automated tech stack including Oracle XStore on Windows 10, with AWS Managed AD, and central components built on AWS Elastic Container Service, using a custom J2EE and AWS RDS stack. 20••••16: Lead architect for implementation of a retail planning system for a general merchandiser, applying modern engineering principles to effect go-live within a day of the forecasted date, projected one year in advance. Won Oracle Retail Innovation Award 2016 for containerisation and introduction of developer and tester environment self-service to accelerate development processes.
