I have experience getting things done across many functional areas, primarily in the tech industry. In reverse chronological order this starts with founder, and goes back through VC, corp dev/M&A, BD/partnerships, management consulting, presale/postsale engineering, and software engineering. Some of my favorite areas are transportation/logistics, cities, languages, and markets.I am active in the NY tech scene where I co-founded Digital Brown and Penn Digital, alumni communities of my two alma maters in the tech and digital media industries, and I have been a strategic advisor or consultant to the founders of startups including ClassPass, Convert Media (acquired, Taboola), Fitocracy, OneSpot, and WiredScore. I have been a speaker for organizations including Siemens, Brown University, and Columbia Business School, and a mentor for classes at Columbia GSB and Chicago Booth GSB.I believe the best startups start with a deep understanding of their customers\' problems and tailor their products to them, rather than building a product and then trying to find a buyer, I try to find ways to associate myself with such companies, whether through consulting, advising, employment, investment, or just paying it forward.
