ABOUT JELANI M.
A UK born North-African/Caribbean student studying BSc Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence w/ Year in Industry at the University of Birmingham, taking my Industrial Year with a Japanese Investment Bank, Nomura, in the heart of London as a Wholesale Data & Operations Technology Engineer. I have an interest in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Systems Engineering. I am especially interested in applications of Game Theory in AI, Systems Security, Cryptography, and Ethical Hacking. During my Industrial Placement Year at Nomura, I will be primarily using the Java, SQL and JavaScript (w/ React.js) programming languages, leveraging Snowflake Cloud and Apache Pulsar as part of some major projects. Currently studying and using Java, JavaScript (with ReactJS), TypeScript, Python, Haskell, C and SQL programming languages; I most comfortably program in Java. I enjoy listening to music, rollerskating, working alongside others, starting projects, and Taekwondo. I was the 2023/24 Treasurer of the UoB Taekwondo Sports Team. I am currently a Red Belt working towards my Black Belt.
