As Associate Dean of Career and Transfer Services, I lead a dynamic team committed to empowering students with the tools, guidance, and opportunities they need to navigate meaningful career paths and seamless transfer to four-year institutions. I provide strategic oversight for our college’s career development and transfer services, with a focus on student-centered advising, data-informed planning, and cross-departmental collaboration.I supervise a talented staff of Directors and Advisors and work collaboratively across academic and student affairs to design initiatives that remove barriers to success and promote equity in student outcomes. From managing strategic plans to expanding articulation agreements and dual-advising initiatives, I focus on creating intentional structures that support persistence, credential completion, and transfer success.My work bridges institutional priorities with community, employer, and university partnerships. I collaborate with faculty and external partners to strengthen career pathways and ensure our services respond to workforce needs, transfer trends, and student aspirations. I am particularly focused on supporting historically marginalized populations through specialized advising, programming, and evidence-based interventions informed by disaggregated student success metrics.In this role, I also oversee the integration of technology platforms, coordinate professional development for staff, and lead initiatives that enhance career readiness across both transfer and CTE pathways. I am driven by the belief that career and transfer services should not only support students at key moments, but should be embedded throughout the college experience in ways that affirm identity, build confidence, and open opportunity.
