About Jeff Sopha

More than a technical leader – although my professional journey has been in the technical business world, my passion for coaching and for baseball underscores how I lead and fuels my passion for continual personal growth.My purpose is to help people find their own passion and love for the work we share – be it in the office or on the ball field. Whether it\'s a network-wide technology upgrade, a new community project, a neighborhood get-together or guiding the next generation of baseball players, I want everyone to have their own best experience.In the business world, I lean into skills learned from sports. I have learned to be a business “athlete” that can be put in any position and make plays that help the team win. Having established a brand as a go-to leader by continually meeting commitments though a measured balance of partnership, influence, and trusted relationships, I bring a proven ability to deliver large, complex projects as well as manage day-to-day operations.On the field, I coach to help athletes honor baseball through individual journeys and discovery of the game, and to guide them towards personal growth through life lessons learned while playing. My goal is to leave a mark on Kansas City baseball by growing the game at the amateur level – to ensure baseball remains accessible for everyone and to elevate the level of coaching and play. My passion is for the health Kansas City baseball – and to leave my mark by doing what I can to ensure the game is better tomorrow than today.I am proud to be a 2nd generation “telephone man” with nearly 30 years of experience. As a technologist and people leader, I have demonstrated confidence in communicating at all management levels and across organizational boundaries. Understanding how to balance financial and operational results, and develop staff, I can successfully work independently or in teams to execute on individual, team, and organizational goals.I am also honored to be an active and respected member of the Kansas City and national baseball community as a baseball coach and youth mentor. Through the Kansas City Royals Amateur Development program, I give my time to run coaching and player clinics for area leagues and schools, speak on behalf of the Kansas City Royals Sport Development Program, and coordinate with Royals Player Alumni to support community baseball and softball efforts. I also support amateur baseball nationally through service as a committee leader for the American Baseball Coaches Association, and through support of other baseball organizations across the country.
