ABOUT JEFF SHEFCHIK

As president since 2006, I have had the great honor of leading Paper Transport, Inc.(PTI) from a promising Midwest trucking company to a national award-winning differentiator that focuses on people, solutions, and safety. PEOPLE-DRIVEN ACCELERATION From the drivers to the corporate staff, my goal is to ensure every PTI employee enjoys coming to work and knows they make a difference. Through our innovative What Drives You™ campaign, we have cultivated a support structure that places emphasis on employees’ personal and professional goals as well as ensures their ever-changing needs are met. The fundamental principles of this campaign have helped us grow to over 525 trucks and maintain an annual growth of 17% per year over the last 10 years. What Drives You™ drives our culture and we continue to build a great place to work. SOLUTION-BOUND DEDICATION To ensure PTI is in a position of growth, we push PTI to solve the most challenging problems in the trucking industry. In 2008, this challenge was high-fuel prices. After extensive discussion and research, my team and I initiated PTI’s investment in CNG as well as its infrastructure to improve sustainability, efficiency, and overall energy independence within the U.S. Currently, 20% of the PTI fleet runs on American natural gas. Today’s challenge: the driver shortage. We’re focusing on building a great and safe place to work through transparency-based recruiting that is concurrent with What Drives You™ culture-based retention. As a result, we have grown our driver fleet by 22% over the last year and continue to improve the quality of life of our drivers.
