I began writing for The Capital Times in 1980, when I started as a bowling columnist and sports stringer. I was hired full-time in 1990 and covered general news, police and courts, county government and business with a specialty in technology, particularly consumer technology issues such as cable and telecom. I became an online editor in 2009 for Capital Newspapers, which is owned by The Capital Times and Wisconsin State Journal. I became an online reporter/producer for the Wisconsin State Journal in 2019. I also am a part-time professional bowler and own and operate 11thFrame.com, the premier bowling news website with a subscriber base of more than 1,400.

I am a part-time professional bowler. I was on the PBA Tour full time in 1987 and 1988, then in 1989 had two of the three wrist operations I\'ve had and was unable to continue bowling full time. But I have continued to bowl on a part-time basis while working full-time as a reporter at The Capital Times, an online editor for Capital Newspapers, and now an online reporter/producer for the Wisconsin State Journal. Bowling is both a job and a hobby for me.
