I am the associate dean for the School of Education at North Carolina Central University. As an educator, I have worked in many settings including K-12 schools and mental health settings. My research interests include Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, school consultation, non-cognitive factors, implementation science, educator preparation, and educational access and equity. I am an active member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), American Counseling Association (ACA), Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), and Chi Sigma Iota (CSI). I also serve on the editorial boards of The Professional Counselor, the journal of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and the Journal of Rational Emotive-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
