Prime Video - Low latency live streaming (Sye)- Developed and maintained a cross-platform, OTT low-latency live video streaming SDK, contributing to both the shared C++ core (handling UDP-based protocol logic, networking, and timing) and the platform-specific Android (Kotlin) SDK layer (decoding and playback), interfacing via SWIG- Diagnosed and resolved a critical, low-level playback incident impacting 200k+ live viewers (UEFA) by tracing a simultaneous rebuffer event to a frame buffer size issue, where the buffer was insufficient for a high-bitrate I-frame following low-bitrate P-frames- Designed and implemented a new Surface API within the Android (Kotlin) SDK to expose low-latency streaming functionality, enabling a seamless autoplay experience from the Fire TV launcher- Debugged critical, platform-specific crashes on Android by leveraging fdsan (file descriptor sanitizer) to trace the root cause to a low-level UDP socket double-close error within the shared C++ core, ensuring memory safety and stability- Integrated an AI-driven anomaly detection system to monitor real-time streaming metrics (e.g, rebuffer rates, playback failures) for high-profile broadcasts (Thursday Night Football, UEFA Champions League, English Premier League), enabling rapid identification of performance degradation during live events- Engineered an automated visual regression testing pipeline to proactively identify rendering artifacts and playback defects in the client SDK, ensuring a best-in-class viewing experience by catching visual-layer bugs before they reached partners and customers- 6 seconds of glass-to-glass latency- 10M+ concurrent streams for high profile events.Kindle for Web- Served ~200k active users daily, reading a total of ~25M pages a day.

Software Engineer with a passion for live media streaming, audio/video processing, and the gnarly low-latency problems that come with them. By day, I work on a low-latency live streaming SDK at Amazon, helping deliver synchronized streams across millions of devices. The work has a ton of breadth: platform SDKs (Android, iOS, living room devices, Web), core streaming protocol work, and plenty of cross-language context switching between C++, Kotlin, and TypeScript.Outside of work I\'m always tinkering by diving deeper into Rust, video codecs, and transport protocols like WebRTC and Media over QUIC (MoQ). If it involves pushing packets faster, squeezing out latency, or figuring out clock synchronization across a network, I\'m probably already reading the RFC for it!I love the intersection of systems programming and media. Whether it\'s debugging a tricky concurrency issue or figuring out why a frame is arriving 3ms late, that\'s where I\'m happiest!
