About Jeffrey A. Roney

Jeff is the Assistant Business Unit Manager in the Raleigh office and is partially responsible for the business operations of the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural (MEPS) Business Unit at Dewberry, a family-owned Architecture, Engineering, and Consulting firm. While his primary role has transitioned into operational management responsibilities, Jeff continues to oversee the design of electrical systems and the needs of several clients who routinely execute multi-discipline projects in the higher education, civic, and community markets. Jeff has a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and client management at Dewberry. For the last 10 years, he has focused his technical work in building electrical and low voltage design + construction including power, lighting, telecommunications, fire alarm, telecommunications, audiovisual, and security systems for a variety of clients. Additional experience includes alternate energy systems, data centers, medium voltage distribution, instrumentation/controls, laboratory design, and elevator modernizations. Higher Education experience includes working with the University of South Carolina, College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina University, Trident Technical Community College, Aiken Technical College, Wake Technical Community College, Virginia Tech, Duke University, East Carolina University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, North Carolina A&T State University (Aggie Pride!), North Carolina Central University, Western Carolina University, University of North Carolina - School of the Arts, University of North Carolina - Greensboro, and University of North Carolina - Charlotte. Government experience includes working with DOD (Department of Navy, Department of Air Force NAVFAC), Department of State, Veterans Administration, National Park Service, NC State Construction Office, NC Department of Agriculture, NC Department of Administration, NC Department of Public Safety, and NC Department of Environmental Quality. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the states of Maryland, North Carolina, & South Carolina and is registered with NCEES Records as a Model Law Engineer.
