ABOUT JEFFREY SINCLAIR

In my work I bring my education in business and non-profit management together with more than a decade of experience successfully leading teams and managing operations in the private sector. I thrive in dynamic work environments comprising short-term projects where I must learn a great deal of new subject matter quickly, make sense from complexity, and develop and execute an innovative solution.My contribution can include the application of the following strengths:[1] Thinking about and assisting you in tackling “big hairy problems” that have not yet been solved.[2] Learning about what is happening on the ground in the private, social, government, and citizen sectors within your community or industry and bringing global “next practices” used to tackle similar challenges elsewhere.[3] Making new connections in order to introduce fresh and enlightening perspectives and create an environment in which profound and creative solutions can emerge.[4] Sorting through the clutter of conflicting ideas and actions to help others see possibilities, find and neutralize obstacles, and develop a successful strategy.[5] Utilizing processes that overcome rigidity and increase adaptability, allowing others to find new paths to a better future-Here is an example from my volunteering:In 2013, to fill an information gap I initiated a citizen-led project to research the impact of the Niagara Regional Transit Pilot Project on the quality of life of its riders. The most interesting finding was that for many Regional Transit riders the quality of life impact was also a positive economic impact.
