I’m an experienced software product leader with a focus on driving revenue growth through strategic vision and product innovation. I’ve led product management teams, acted as chief product officer (CPO) and VP of product management, and had formal training in the domain. I\'ve supervised teams in excess of 75 people including Product Management, Design / UX, and Customer Training.I’ve brought new, ground-breaking products to market, led innovation programs, validated ideas with customer stakeholders, built business plans and business cases to secure investment, defined vision, strategy, and roadmap, worked closely with my engineering partners, and driven product launch and go-to-market. I’ve also actively led portions of M&A initiatives, contributing product and technology input to overall business case and due diligence efforts. As CPO at Duck Creek, I led the product portfolio during a three-year period that saw an 18% CAGR for the company. My experience has shown me that product management and leadership is the cross-roads of a software product company. Bringing successful products to market requires collaboration and cross-functional input and leadership, working closely with sales, marketing, engineering, finance, and leadership. It requires achieving both strategic objectives and short-term targets, negotiating to establish priorities that maximize growth and meet customer needs, and often, justifiably, telling stakeholders – both internal and external - ‘no’. My focus has been primarily in the property & casualty (P&C) insurance market, but my skillset is applicable to other vertical B2B markets. My professional foundation is built-on on my technical engineering degree, extended through technology implementation and consulting practice, elevated by hands-on experience in business domains, and refined and focused on product vision, strategy, innovation, and leadership.
