Cincinnati State Business Law 101 is a survey course of study in the legal environment in which businesses operate. The course helps students develop familiarity with legal terms, language, concepts, and doctrines and how the law affects business. It will help develop an understanding of ethical behavior and social responsibility; an understanding of the legal system in the U.S; basic law of contracts, torts, criminal law, negotiable instruments, business organizations, real, personal, and intellectual property, employment law, consumer and investor protection, and the regulatory environment as it relates to business, along with the ability to comprehend basic legal reasoning and apply critical thinking to the legal implications present in business activities.
