Overall Responsibility: To develop, implement and monitor programs that promote diversity within Nissan - U.S, Canada and Mexico. This role is responsible for developing training and initiatives to create and foster an open and inclusive environment. Essential Functions 1.Development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse work force for the organization. 2.Determine the appropriateness of introducing diversity initiatives and consider the unique needs of the organization. 3.Develop training to educate employees and managers on how to recognize, accommodate and appreciate individual differences and how these can be bridged back to assist in meeting company business plans. 4.Develop metrics for measuring the effectiveness of corporate diversity initiatives implemented and prepare quarterly reports to senior management (Diversity Council) on the value of the initiatives. 5.Keep current on diversity programs and developments by maintaining contact with others in the field (e.g, professional association and educational groups, and professional development efforts).
