They were carpenters and fisherman in Wrightsville Beach. In 1984 at the age of 25 he built the first Harbor Inn Motel-O-Minimum on the Intracoastal waterway at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina where it still operates. He has built over 1500 lots in the region, Commercial shopping centers, Office Buildings, and Industrial sites.
