I direct our Emergency Assistance Program, which works with clients facing evictions and utility terminations in the Central Virginia area (Lynchburg and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell) as well as our Homeless Prevention Program where we work with individuals on the cusp of homelessness to avoid that situation through preventing an eviction or helping them secure new housing and getting back on their feet. Most recently, I helped secure funding for and manage our new program, Home Again, that works with households experiencing homeless to get back into housing. My time with Interfaith has included addressing the need of the COVID-19 pandemic, which included disbursing over 1.5 million in direct aid to our clients specifically to prevent evictions in addition to other grants addressing utility needs. I manage office staff to ensure programs are all running at maximum efficiency and assisting with direct service delivery when appropriate. This role also includes donor stewardship, database maintenance, community outreach, and grant reporting.

I am the Outreach Director at Interfaith Outreach Association specifically working with clients facing evictions and utility terminations in central Virginia as well as grant management and donor stewardship. In this role, I am aim to empower clients and help them make connections and referrals to improve their situations with individual care giving them a hand up. I also regularly collaborate with other nonprofit agencies and organizations to help fill in the gaps and best meet the needs of our clients. I am always seeking opportunities to grow my understanding of poverty and community engagement in the Lynchburg and surrounding counties and ways to make positive change by working with those around me.
