WORK HISTORY
Director, Development and Communications @The Crisis Intervention And Suicide Prevention Centre Of British Columbia Crisis Centre
CA
Reporting to the Executive Director. As a senior leadership team member, I provide strategic guidance, counsel and operational delivery for all Crisis Centre communications (internal and external), marketing, fund development, public policy initiatives, and government relations.I am proud of the deep relationships I have developed internally and externally. My onsite days always start and end with saying hello or goodbye to our frontline crisis response volunteers - the backbone of so much of our work.Additionally, I provide strategic communications, media relations, and government relations support to the BC Crisis Line Network in bringing about systems change across British Columbia to create a mental health crisis care system that is least costly and least restrictive to BC residents.I am also a safeTALK trainer at the Centre, facilitating and leading a half-day workshop that teaches “connector skills”, including recognizing signs and engaging a person with thoughts of suicide, as well as connecting them to an intervention resource for safety and further support.
