As the General Counsel and Head of the Legal Division, I am responsible for providing oversight and guidance to the over 110 employees within the Legal, Compliance and Anti-Financial Crimes Departments and ultimately being responsible for the work performed by each department. In addition, I regularly advise the board of directors and bank senior management on legal matters related to, among other things, corporate governance, legal issues, mergers and acquisitions, employment matters, regulatory filings, business transactions and the bank’s interactions with both federal and state banking regulators.I am also a member of the Senior Executive Management Committee, which is comprised of the Chairman and CEO’s direct reports. This committee is the most senior decision making management committee at the institution.
