As a reliability engineer and manager, I have extensive experience with the continuous improvement of both equipment and work processes. Throughout my career I have had success applying change management strategies and shifting organizations towards operational excellence. I am a believer that having a solution is not enough if you cannot successfully implement the change and institutionalize it within an established culture. My background in mechanical integrity includes experience with machinery, fixed equipment, predictive technologies, and facility infrastructure assets. I have used and championed a variety of formal reliability tools and processes within my teams including Reliability Centered Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance elements of Lean and Six Sigma.    Steel Dynamics Inc. broke ground on its new aluminum rolling facility in Columbus, Mississippi. This is the first time that Steel Dynamics will enter the flat rolled aluminum products market. Operating under the name Aluminum Dynamics, the new rolling facility will focus on the production of aluminum sheet for cans, vehicles, and industrial applications. The integrated hot and cold rolling complex will have a production capacity of tonnes of aluminum strip per year.
