Took on Technical Product Owner responsibilities for Vector Solutions’ data team in June 2025 — without a formal transition, onboarding, or title change. Built what became the highest-performing Agile data team at Vector since then. What the role actually looks like day to day:• Pipeline health — I own the Quick Reaction Team (QRT) process: the goals, the methods, the escalation path when something in the data pipeline breaks• Documentation — runbooks, operating standards, integration guides. I write the kind of documentation that means the next person doesn’t have to ask• AI tooling — Claude, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot are in my daily workflow. I got there before the organization asked anyone to• Design — our team has no dedicated UX/UI designer, so I cover it in partnership with the Technical Owner and Architect• Quality — daily partnership with the Quality Owner on shift-left practices and testable acceptance criteria

ABOUT JEFFREY HOLZAPFEL

I\'ve been at the hinge point between the old system and the new one for my entire career. At Ramstein AFB in 1995, that was a literal thing — I decommissioned the last electromechanical telephone switch on the base and installed the first digital PBX. Since then, the pattern keeps showing up in different form: I\'m the person figuring out how to bridge what exists to what\'s needed, before the organization fully knows what it needs. For the past decade that work has been about data. Specifically: making sure the right events, in the right schema, reach the right downstream teams reliably — and that when something breaks in the pipeline, you know about it fast enough to do something useful.I defined event schemas and data contracts for customer journey analytics platforms at ClickFox and Genesys/Pointillist. I manually resolved identity across event sources before the tooling to automate it existed. Now as Technical Product Owner (Data) at Vector Solutions, I own pipeline reliability monitoring, developer enablement documentation, and AI-assisted product delivery — using Claude, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot in daily workflow ahead of the rest of the organization.Where I do my best work: platform products where the goal is making complexity disappear — whether that\'s the data infrastructure engineering teams depend on, or the analytics surface that helps contact center leaders understand what\'s happening across millions of customer interactions in real time.US Air Force Veteran. Remote. The kind of person former colleagues have hired twice.
