Experienced Intellectual Property (IP) attorney with Naschitz, Brandes, Amir & Co. My technical background is in electrical and computer-related arts, and I hold a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. I have held positions in academia, industry and government. I have performed research and development in areas related to communication. signal processing and control systems. My legal practice, which focuses primarily on patent law, is much broader, extending to many other areas, including artificial intelligence, solar energy, automotive braking and steering systems, and many other areas. I have spoken and/or written on topics relating to, among other things, standards and patents, artificial intelligence and copyright law, open source software.Our firm, including me, assists clients in protecting their IP assets (patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets) and provides related counseling, to prevent others from using their intellectual property, thus helping our clients to improve their competitive advantage and to build their assets, which may provide financial leverage and/or profit, in addition to protection. Similarly, when our clients are facing enforcement efforts by others, including lawsuits, we are able to assist them in avoiding or mitigating the financial loss, by defending against lawsuits and/or assisting in efforts to obtain licenses.
