Joining a peer advisory group was the best thing that ever happened for my career. As CEO of a health system, major decisions were part of the job; the easy decisions never made it to my desk. Having guidance and insight from other CEOs was invaluable when considering options and the possible ramifications of these decisions. Participating in a peer advisory group gave me access to collective wisdom and experiences that no doubt helped me make better decisions. That’s why I became a Vistage peer advisory group Chair. As a servant leader, I am committed to executive coaching and am passionate about helping others, supporting them to drive successful growth and performance in their own businesses. I facilitate group meetings of CEOs, business owners, and executives who discuss their most pressing issues and work together to solve them. The sole purpose of the group is business growth. Success doesn’t happen accidentally. What the Cheshire Cat told Alice is true: If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.
