Lead the Product Development function for a $140 million+ revenue brand. Responsible for all aspects of product development and engineering for Ion Audio from R&D and product ideation to engineering, software / firmware development, project management, quality assurance, compliance, and manufacturing. • Lead and inspire a lean product management team to deliver world-class product that meet customer needs while optimizing revenue and meeting operational, financial, and business objectives. • Building a project management team and implementing a stage-gate process to allow the organization to better manage costs and timelines against business objectives. • Oversees domestic and Asia engineering resources to ensure technology needed for our next generation of product is available to help fill the product development pipeline • Collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Managing Director to develop a comprehensive brand plan and corresponding product strategy and line plan to drive our R&D and product development efforts. • Lead business relationships with China contract manufacturers, including annual visits to current factories and potential new factories to establish strong, collaborative relationships. • Visit contract manufacturers as needed to ensure development of critical projects run smoothly • Established several new product development and quality assurance processes and tools to ensure we are delivering the highest quality product on time.
