I have worked in construction/building/millwork since the age of 14, when I spent my summers roofing single family homes and winters taking 2 or more wood shop classes in school every day. Several unusual twists and turns in my life have blessed me with a very broad and deep understanding of how to estimate the cost of and manage complex systems of several different types. I have been both an owner and manager of construction and millwork operations in the US and the Caribbean, and before that touring audio systems around the world with major entertainment projects. Most recently I was the Senior Estimator for Baker & Kerr (remote), an award winning millwork concern in Upper Marlboro, MD.In the heat of the last recession, I founded and led a home renovation and development company and drove it to in yearly sales and a 21% net profit within a 4-year period. After 6 years as a consultant and estimator I have recently I re-started LDR as a Passive House certified design/build firm. Our area of operation includes the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions of NY state.
