ABOUT JEFFREY BEAN
Since 2018 I have investigated the geopolitical dynamics of the global semiconductor supply chain. Currently at ORF America I\'m lead on implementation for two projects: one covering how the U.S. manages its approach to critical and emerging technologies and a second focused on capacity building for the Global South in cybersecurity and cyber diplomacy. Concurrently, I serve as the editor for all of our organization\'s long-form publications. I also provide substantive research support for the U.S-India AI Fellowship Program. In 2026, I was awarded a fellowship by the University of California San Diego to dig into India\'s efforts on critical minerals, specifically skilling and workforce development. I have fifteen years experience working within leading Washington, D.C. think-tanks focused on international relations and U.S. foreign policy, with a geographic focus on the Indo-Pacific and Europe, and extensive policy research and written analysis on security, political, trade, and technology issues.
