About Jeff Remas

Jeff is an esteemed construction professional whose career began as a laborer in a family business during his teen years. His path in the construction industry was notably shaped by his service in the US Marine Corps as an avionics technician, where he developed a keen interest in electrical work.After his tenure in the Marine Corps, Jeff rejoined the family business, focusing on the building and remodeling of residential and commercial properties. His career later expanded into industrial construction and the founding of his own electrical construction company. Jeff\'s entrepreneurial journey continued with the establishment of an inspection company in Pennsylvania.Upon moving to Florida, Jeff\'s expertise was recognized when he was named Building Official of the Year for Palm Beach County in 2021. He contributes to the Palm Beach County Contractor Licensing Board and is affiliated with prominent organizations such as the International Code Council (ICC), Building Officials Association of Florida (BOAF), International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Florida Floodplain Managers Association (FFMA).In addition to serving on an ICC committee and holding 27 ICC certifications, Jeff plays a crucial role as the Floodplain Manager for Highland Beach, Florida. His responsibilities include direct collaboration with FEMA in managing and responding to natural disasters, demonstrating his expertise in this critical area. As the overseer of the Building Department, Planning & Zoning, and Code Compliance Department in Highland Beach, and Building Official for Highland Beach and Gulf Stream, Florida, Jeff\'s career embodies a dedication to excellence and adherence to the highest standards in the construction and inspection industries.
