About Jeff Nevers

I have a skill set that is a mile wide and in many places six inches deep. I am well rounded - almost to a fault. And I make no apologies. As a result, my professional platform does not fit neatly into a cubicle or org chart. My experience has taken me into a distinct direction – a cross-functional footprint that was been anchored in higher education career development, but allowed me to dip my toes into human resources, healthcare, business, management, marketing, tech and workforce concepts – using skills in strategizing, writing, presenting, assessing, coaching, collaborating and researching. I do my best work when my character attributes – humor, fairness, emotional intelligence and creativity – can roam. I thrive in my autonomy, where I can think big picture and longitudinally. Working relationships matter to me, as does feeling impactful, influential and helpful. For me progress at work is less about new software and more about relying on knowledge; leading is less about titles and more about relate-ability; and workflows are less about rigidity and more about resourcefulness. I would enjoy hearing from organizations and leaders who champion non-tangible skills, personality traits and broad experiences. I am open to roles that challenge and engage me – in business, management or innovation - either remotely or in the Portland, Maine area. I am adept at learning on the fly and perform well in high profile roles requiring quick thinking, diplomacy, persuasion and listening. Just as I am not tied to any one skill specificity I am not tied to any one industry. If I was a product I would be a can of WD-40, versatile, reliable and suitable pretty much anywhere.
