Manage a globally distributed team of engineers that reside in multiple locations throughout the world. Responsible for all aspects of the development for the StorNext Secondary Storage subsystem, FlexSync cloud product, StorNext cloud product, StorNext Disk based product, and hardware appliances. • Very technical manager who can not only manage the team, but can dig in and understand the code that is being written. Have not had anyone resign from the team since I became manager. • Very active in the architecture, analysis, design, implementation, and test of the software while successfully managing the team. • Responsible for the StorNext Appliance software and hardware stack. • Responsible for budgets, schedules, requirements gathering, support, and more for the team/projects. • Collaborate with architect engineering, marketing, sales, test, manufacturing and service for product features, release timeframes, schedules, and product improvements for the various projects. • Created and implemented processes that improved productivity and quality including analysis, design, implementation, review, and unit test functions as well as implementing the use of Coverity code analysis tool. • Work directly with customers, support engineers, sales support and others to provide support and guidance on existing issues as well as help design future systems. • While managing the team and projects, continue to help in the development of the software by continuing to write code, resolve problems, aid in troubleshooting and more. • Manage team of persons across the globe.
